Eventos de la AIT en Australia

Durante 12 días, a principios de febrero, miembros del Secretariado de la AIT visitaron Australia. Se llevaron a cabo una serie de eventos públicos, talleres y visitas a gente anarquista y libertaria. El viaje promocionaba las ideas del anarcosindicalismo y presentaba los tipos de acciones obreras que son posibles, utilizando como ejemplo las acciones exitosas de las Secciones de la AIT. También era un viaje de buena voluntad y solidaridad con ocasión del 30 aniversario de la ASF-AIT, nuestra Sección australiana, y de los 60 años de la AIT en Australia (tanto la CNT española y búlgara en el exilio contaban con organizaciones en Australia e intentaron sacar adelante su legado y difundir las ideas anarcosindicalistas en este país).

Se celebraron eventos públicos en las principales ciudades de Australia -Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne y Perth. Las charlas contaron todas con buena asistencia, no solamente de los miembros y simpatizantes de la ASF, sino también de variedad de gentes libertarias. También hubo talleres y discusiones. Un evento fue auspiciado por Jura Books y se celebraron discusiones en el Club Anarquista de Melbourne. Los miembros de la ASF y del Secretariado también visitaron al último veterano vivo de la Revolución Española en el exilio y a otro activista de toda la vida del exilio de CNT, nacido en el exilio. En nombre de la Asociación Internacional de los Trabajadores, les deseamos mucha salud y felicidad y les agradecimos su trabajo a la hora de llevar las ideas del anarcosindicalismo y la AIT a Australia.

IWA Events in Australia

For 12 days at the beginning of February, members of the lWA Secretariat visited Australia. A series of public events, workshops and visits with anarchist and libertarian people took place. The trip promoted the ideas of anarchosyndicalism and presented the types of workers actions that are possible, using successful actions of the lWA Sections as an example. It was also a trip of goodwill and solidarity on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the ASF-lWA, our Australian section, and 60 years of the lWA in Australia. (Both the Bulgarian and Spanish CNT in exile had organizations in Australia and tried to carry on the legacy and spread anarchosyndicalist ideas in that country.)

Public events were held in the largest cities in Australia – Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. The talks were well attended, not only by members and supporters of the ASF, but by a variety of other libertarian people. Workshops and discussions also took place. An event was hosted by Jura Books and discussions took place in the Melbourne Anarchist Club. Members of the ASF and the Secretariat also visited the last living veteran of the Spanish Revolution in exile and another long time activist of the CNT exile, born in exile. On behalf of the lnternational Workers Association, we wished them much health and happiness and thanked them for their work in bringing the ideas of anarchosyndicalism and the lWA to Australia.

A Victory for Dominos Pizza Drivers

The Fair Work Ombudsman has ordered Dominos Pizzas to pay drivers around $590,000 in back pay. The workers had been underpaid. In 2012, a group of drivers formed the General Transport Workers Association (GTWA), affiliated to the ASF-IWA. The drivers protested against a pay decrease and had other demands towards Dominos. As a result, their pay
was mostly reinstated and now the company has to pay compensation for previous underpayment.

The comrades at ASF-IWA consider this to be a victory for the drivers and an important event for their union.

Una Victoria para los Repartidores de Pizza Dominos

El Defensor de Fair Work ha ordenado a Pizza Dominos pagar a los repartidores alrededor de 590.000$ en salarios atrasados. Los trabajadores habían sido infra asalariados. En 2012 un grupo de repartidores formó la Asociación General de Trabajadores de Transporte (GTWA por sus siglas en inglés) afiliada a la ASF-AIT. Los repartidores protestaban contra una reducción de salario y otras demandas contra Dominos. Como resultado, su salario ha sido rehabilitado en su mayor parte y ahora la empresa tiene que pagar compensación por el anterior pago disminuido.

Los compañeros de la ASF-AIT consideran esto una victoria para los repartidores y un importante acontecimiento para su sindicato.

Международный день солидарности с водителями «Доминос Пицца»

5 сентября, по призыву Анархо-синдикалистской федерации Австралии, проводился международный день солидарности с водителями компании «Доминос Пицца» в Брисбене (Австралия). Эти работники, занимающиеся развозом и доставкой пиццы, ведут борьбу против произвола фирмы, которая урезала им зарплату на 19%. Кампания была поддержана Международной ассоциацией трудящихся. Акции были проведены во многих странах мира, включая Россию.

История конфликта

Водители компании "Доминос Пицца" в Брисбене, Австралия, являющиеся членами Анархо-синдикалистской федерации (ASF), с 9 апреля противостоят компании, которая, в частности, сократила им зарплату на 19%. С тех пор водители ведут борьбу за восстановление своей заработной платы не только с "Доминос", но и против правой иерархии профсоюза SDA (Ассоциация работников магазинов, сферы распределения и смежных профессий), который объединяет и служащих "Доминос".В ответ на бездействие профсоюза SDA водители создали Всеобщую ассоциация работников транспорта (GTWA, связанную с Aнархо-синдикалистской федерацией) и активно координируют борьбу за восстановление заработной платы на общенациональном уровне. К отраслевому союзу ASF присоединились и другие сотрудники фирмы, увидев, что действующий в "Доминос" профсоюз носит угоднический характер и ничего не делает для улучшения положения водителей.

Solidarność z kierowcami Dominos Pizza

Od 9 kwietnia, kierowcy firmy Dominos Pizza w Brisbane, w Australii, będący członkami Anarchosyndykalistycznej Federacji (ASF), walczą z firmą, która m.in. obniżyła im pensje o 19%. Inni pracownicy dołączyli do branżowej sekcji ASF ponieważ widzieli, że inny związek działający w Dominos ma charakter ugodowy i nic nie robi, by poprawić sytuację kierowców.

Nasi koledzy sformułowali następujące postulaty:

- aby kierowcy, nawet ci, którzy pracują na niepełny etat, otrzymywali przynajmniej najmniej minimalną stawkę zalecaną przez Fair Work Australia
- żeby pracownicy byli wynagradzani za czas spędzony na szkoleniach i na spotkaniach
- żeby pracownicy mogli zachowywać 100% napiwków, które otrzymali od klientów
- żeby pracownicy byli opłacani za wszystkie godziny pracy, w tym godziny poza czasem otwarcia lokalu, kiedy muszą być obecni w pracy
- żeby pracownicy pracujący na niepełnym etacie otrzymywali wynagrodzenie za nadgodziny przepracowane podczas świąt, tak samo jak inni pracownicy

¡El 15 septiembre es Jornada de Acción respecto a apoyar a los repartidores de Domino!

La ASF hace un llamamiento a todas las Secciones de la Asociación Internacional de los Trabajadores (AIT), sus amigos y simpatizantes para que lleven a cabo acciones de protesta por todo el mundo el 15 de septiembre, en apoyo de la campaña por un salario de justicia para los repartidores que han visto recortados sus salarios en un 19%, de manera arbitraria, por parte de la gerencia de las Empresas Pizza Domino.

September 15 is a Day of Action in regard supporting the Dominos drivers!

The ASF is calling on all sections of the International Workers Association (IWA), their friends and supporters to take protest action around the world on September 15 in support of the campaign for wage justice for delivery drivers who have had their wages cut 19% arbitrarily by Domino’s Pizza Enterprises management.

Australia: Repartidores de Dominos Se Organizen

Algunos miembros de la ASF de Brisbane que son repartidores de Pizza Dominos, vieron recortados sus salarios en un 19% a principios de este año. Desde entonces, los repartidores han estado luchando no solamente con Dominos, sino también con la jerarquía de derechas del sindicato SDA que abarcaba a los empleados de Dominos, para conseguir que se les reintegrara su salario.

Los propios repartidores han formado la GTWA (Asociación de Trabajadores de Transporte General, afiliada a la ASF) como respuesta a la inacción del sindicato SDA y se están coordinando activamente a nivel nacional para recuperar sus salarios.

Sobre el Conflicto en Pizza Dominos

Los trabajadores de la ASF de Brisbane llevan en conflicto laboral desde el 9 de abril con las Empresas Pizza Domino (DPE por sus siglas en inglés) después de que los miembros de la ASF que son empleados de DPE expusieran el tema de su recorte salarial.

Australia: Dominos Drivers Organize after Pay Dispute

Members of ASF Brisbane who are Domino's Pizza drivers had their wages cut by 19% earlier this year. Since then the drivers have been fighting not only Domino's, but the right wing hierarchy of the SDA Union that encompassed Domino's employees, to have their wages reinstated.

The drivers themselves have formed the GTWA (General Transport Workers Association, affiliated with the ASF) as a response to the inaction of the SDA union and are actively coordinating nationally to reinstate their wages.

The union for Domino's employees in Australia is also one of the largest unions, the SDA (Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees Association) with a membership of around 230,000 workers. The SDA is 'managed' by a right wing catholic hierarchy led by Joe De Bruyn that is not adverse to using the union to push Christian views.

About the Dispute at Dominos Pizza

The workers of ASF Brisbane have been in an industrial dispute since 9th of April with Domino's Pizza Enterprises (DPE), after ASF members that are employees of the DPE raised the issue of their wages being
cut.
